Although Bella would've preferred to run, she drove to the hospital. She went with the intention of finding Carlisle, asking about their new environment. She sniffed the air discreetly to pick up his scent, but decided to also ask around a little as well.
The woman at the front desk greeted her with a warm smile and a kind hello as Bella walked in, and she responded with a nod. She asked where she might find Carlisle and once she found out, she gave her thanks and headed off. She pressed the button for the elevator, standing in a practiced humanlike way as she waited and got in when the bell dinged and the doors opened. "Hmm," she mumbled to herself as she pressed the button for Carlisle's floor and waited till she reached it. Stepping out, she could smell his scent nearby, and looked around for where she needed to go so she didn't seem hopelessly lost.
She walked gracefully and at a human pace as she passed by the main desk, nodding slightly with a smile as she walked around, looking for Carlisle. Bella sniffed the air inconspicuously while she continued to look, and paused for a moment as she caught scent of something she had an idea that she wasn't looking for- the scent of another vampire.

He needed some additional supplies down at the Veteriniary Clinic down the street. He had done this often for some of his co-workers, heading down to the Hospital for some supplies. He never minded helping out. He was already a volunteer there so he thought that walking a few blocks was part of the package, and afterall, it wasn't a difficult task to fufill. He was rumagging through what few perscription medicines they had for something that would help a dog with a wounded leg when he caught scent of one of his kind. It wasn't anything like one of his own coven's scent. He had already heard of the Cullen's through his family. So, he had already known about the doctor that was currently working at the hospital. However, this scent was not of the eldest in the foreign coven, this smell was someone different. His natural instincts told him to search for this vampire.
The scent was growing stronger with every step he took. He could sense that it was indeed looking for him as well. He could sense the intensity coming from the vampire. It was then that they reached each other. William saw the intensity from her amber eyes. They were flaring so brightly. He remembered seeing the same brightness from Ricki when she was first changed. Now he knew that she was a newborn, freshly new. William couldn't help but wonder as to how she could control herself from the humans that surround her. It was rather difficult for him to control it... even after a couple of decades. He wondered as to how she managed this.
William just stopped in place when he saw her. Every detail of her figure were flashing through his mind. Her sweet scent was so much stronger than tose of any vampire he had ever come in contact with. His brow furrowed at the sight of her. He couldn't help but be frustrated, William wasn't one to be dazzled by other creatures, especially ones of his own kind. He couldn't muster any words to say. He was completely lost as if by some trance. Though he assumed that it was his own thirst that distracted him.

Bella walked slowly, looking around for familiar vampiric features as the scent got stronger. Her gold eyes caught sight of one man; their eyes had met and he had instantly stopped. She didn't however, as she approached she saw his brow furrow in what looked like frustration. What was it when male vampires saw her? She didn't look bad, at least she hadn't for a while, so she knew it couldn't have been that, so then why did this one do what Edward did the day he met her? It was like a different sort of repeat from the day she'd never forget when she first sat next to Edward.
As baffled as she was, she smiled as she came up to him. "Hello," she said, her eyes quickly scanning his features. She surprised herself in finding that he was rather handsome, and seemed to carry an air of elegance similar to that of Edward, she thought. Never before did she find another man attractive, never after Edward..until now. She wondered what it was about him that intrigued her, but she didn't let it get to her. Bella trusted that her feelings for Edward were as strong as ever, and was for the most part sure that she most likely wouldn't be swayed....or would they?
"Are you one of the Days?" Bella asked, her head tilted slightly, her hair showering down over her shoulders as she looked at him with curious eyes.

She spoke to him. It was as if she were just as surprised to encounter him as it was for him to encounter her. He examined her reaction towards himslef carefully, noticing a sort of recognition coming from her eyes. Of course, this must be false seeing as how they had never before come in contact. He tilted his head up so that it would appear that he was looking over her more so than he already was. He didn't feel obligated to be anything other than polite when conversing to a vampire, especially one who comes from the coven he had heard so much about. He immediately generated words in his mind before actually speaking them.
"Pleasure." He paused for no particular reason other than examining her further, "The names William Day. You wouldn't happen to be one of the famous Cullen's would you?" The corner of his lip curled into a friendly smile. There was no need for him to await a response. He could already see the same golden tint in her eyes that consumed his own, and there wasn't another animal blood drinking coven aside from the Denali's that were heard of.
"I've heard so much about your family already." Spoken in such a silky voice, he tilted his head so that it would be even with her's.
He glanced at all that was her several times before meeting with her eyes once more. There was something about her that made his body tremble with a twisted amount of both torture and passion. It was unlike anything William had ever taken in. Her very scent made him crazy... driving the beast that was him out from deep within him. Even as far as he had prisoned that side of him within himself. Clearly even as he was thinking all of this he found himself to be rather lunatic that a single vampire could trigger all of these emtions, these thoughts were in fact... reality.

Bella smiled and nodded, her assumption had been right about him as she noticed that his eyes wandered still over her form. Were they really so easy to find, or so obvious- at least to each other? "Yes, I would. I'm Bella Cullen," she answered, her small smile matching his as his head tilted to match hers. His voice was so smooth; it almost reminded her of whenever she heard of Edward's musical voice. His voice was enough to still make her swoon, or at least feel it since she had been incapable of falling over for so long now. William's was similar to that, and she was intrigued still.
"Likewise," she replied, straightening her neck slowly as she looked him over. Such similarities, yet there were differences as well. For it he seemed rather familiar, and having heard of him already made him seem all the more familiar. "It seems our reputations precede us. What have you been told of us?" she asked, curiosity lacing her tone, as she actually was interested in what was told about them. She knew the obvious basis: vegetarian vampires, settled in one spot, large group of vampires. But each one of them had different aspects to them, and she wondered how much was actually shared.
Bella also found herself wanting to know what had been said of her, and wondered if William had already drawn something of her considering how closely he seemed to have been observing her, even matching her movements. They were in a hallway just off the large room where the main desk was, and in a humanlike gesture she leaned against the wall, out of the way of doctors and nurses who would pass through.

It had appeared as though she noted how closely he was observing her, as it was completely and noticeably obvious. He shrugged casually at her question, not having much to say other than the basics. Of course, anything he told her, no matter how in depth his answers might seem, she would already be aware of. So there really wasn't any point in not answereing. He saw no harm it.
"Oh," he sighed, looking up just slightly, barely revealing his throat, "Just a little. I know that our... families are in equality in number. I also know you've just recently been exposed to... a whole new world."
He didn't think that exposing his family in a place such as this, with numerous witnesses buzzing by every second or so would make Karin very pleased.
"Hmmmm, let's see. I also know all of your names." He paused to touch his finger to his eyebrow as if making an effort to remember them all, "There's Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett... and there's also... Jasper, Alice, and Edward."
His eyes glanced back to her eyes for a moment, then returned to the ceiling, "I guess that leaves you doesn't it?" He took his arms and folded them across his chest. His sweater wrinkled in defeat.
He took the same inquisitive attitude Bella had before he filled her in, than shot the same question back her way, "Well, there must be a thing or two that you've learned about us. And seeing as how you've managed to bring my name to conversation before I spoke, I'm actually quite positive." There weren't many vegetarian vampire covens in the world, and with human gossip and vampire ears, its almost impossible to be completely in the dark.

Bella grinned slightly as he could realize she was still a young, somewhat new vampire. She laughed softly before speaking. "You're right. I do suppose ten years is nothing to people like us, so I may as well be a recent addition," she said, catching the seeming defensiveness as he only looked up slightly to see her, noticing how little she saw of his throat, one of the things she had missed seeing when looking him up and down. "Don't worry," she said, laughing again, "I don't bite."
"I think I've heard of a couple of you from what Carlisle's told me, there's as many of you as there are of us, yes..I've yet to meet any of the rest of them, though. I believe he listed you all off to us," she said, going back to when Carlisle first realized whose territory they had come in on and had found out who they were dealing with, "Karin, Ricki, Annalie...Caleb, George, Joanne, and Michael," she listed off, "And you. Am I right?" she asked, the corner of her mouth curling into a little half smile.
She adjusted the way she leaned against the wall and faced her body towards him, one hand resting gently on her hip. "You're the first I've met of any of them face to face. It's nice to see that where we moved has a family similar to ours...after the things we've been through, it's like seeing a friendly face," she said, looking up at him with her golden eyes, only vaguely alluding to the various things she, Edward, and the rest of the Cullens have had to endure ever since she came into their lives. If William asked about any details about it, Bella wasn't sure if she'd come out with them. She swore she almost felt compelled to spill a little if he did despite the groups of people they had to deal with, but she worried if she said a word he might immediatly back off, especially at mention of the Volturi.
No, I won't say.. I hope he doesn't ask..maybe I can lie a little, or something. If he and his family are the vampires we have to deal with here...I know Carlisle will want us all on good terms.. I won't ruin it by spilling a thing, she thought to herself as she then began to wonder why she was worrying so much about saying anything in the first place. He couldn't get anything out of me so easily anyways. He's not Edward, Bella thought defiantly, wondering why she found herself feeling sort of drawn to him even though she had only known him for a few minutes.
All the while her thoughts were running through her head, her face gave away if only a hint of the things she was thinking about. Even after all this time, she was still an open book for all to read- except for Edward, but she was improving with that, and she realized she must have looked even the tiniest bit off while thinking. She put the half smile back on her face as soon as shee realized it and hoped she wouldn't mess up a possible friendship with the coven her family had ended up meeting by chance.
